Uploaded with ImageShack.us
Come Clean is the major label debut by post-grunge band Puddle of Mudd. Released on August 28, 2001, the album was responsible for breaking Puddle of Mudd into the mainstream music scene. It contains the hit singles "Control," "Blurry," "Drift & Die" and "She Hates Me." Various tracks were re-recorded from the band's previous releases, Stuck and Abrasive. The album reached the Billboard 200 Albums chart peaking at #9.
The album has sold over five million copies, it was certified 3x platinum by the RIAA, and remains the band's highest selling album. It received mixed reviews from music critics.
The album's controversial album cover by American photographer Kate Schermerhorn features her son, Sacha, with his pants down and buttocks exposed (the image was shot the afternoon of the 1999 full solar eclipse in Cornwall, England). Retailers Kmart and Walmart did not like the cover and was never sold in their stores.
